For the past year, a rumor has been going around that electric carmaker, Tesla, is to discontinue the sale of their Roadster after 2011 and whatever is to replace it wouldn’t come until 2013. That rumor can be put to rest since the arrival of its updated version of the electric super car, the 2011 Roadster 2.5.
The 2011 Tesla Roadster 2.5 is the ultimate EV (electric vehicle). Unlike other EVs that get an average of 70 miles per charge before having to recharge, the Roadster 2.5 achieves a total of 245 miles per charge. And, when the ultimate EV meets super car engineering, it reaches zero to 60mph in 3.9 to 3.7 seconds, depending on trim levels, and a top speed of 125mph.
The 2011 Tesla Roadster 2.5 is available in base models and Sport models starting at a base MSRP of $109,000.
