Subaru announced the launch of the “Subaru Guide to Everything,” an interactive guidebook that allows Subaru owners to share their favorite off-the-beaten-path spots around the country with others on Facebook. Adventure-seeking Subaru owners and fans can search through 250 Subaru-exclusive reviews or add their own personal stories to the collection. The guide is updated in real time as users add their own content.
In the guidebook, users will see a map showing points of interest around the country. By clicking on the points, Subaru fans will see photos and a written review of the attraction. Users can also search locations by activity: hiking, camping, sightseeing, dining, traveling with dogs, or biking.
Users can access the guide on the Subaru Guide to Everything Facebook page. A mobile application for the guidebook is also available on iTunes.
“This is not a guidebook for the glove box; it is a highly-mobile, social resource for the adventurer on-the-go,” said Alan Bethke, director of marketing communications for Subaru of America.
The guidebook may be a clever marketing strategy for Subaru, known for attracting adventure-seeking customers who want AWD performance. Subaru of America, Inc. has over 593,700 fans on Facebook.
